The Narrow the Gap Photo Contest 2013: Focus on Children

LIN invites photography enthusiasts to participate in the Narrow the Gap Photo Contest 2013: Focus on Children. The contest is for everyone who a) loves photography b) wants to help a great cause. It it not restricted to professional photographers only.

New deadline to register for the contest is 12pm on Friday, July 12 (extended).

Did you know that in our city there are thousands of disadvantaged children? Many live on the streets, many have to leave school to earn money for their families, and many eat only one meal a day. For many of these children the only place they can receive help from are local non-profit organizations (NPOs). Most of these organizations, despite the amazing and very hard work they do, lack professional photographs to present their work to the community and attract potential donors.

The Narrow the Gap Photo Contest 2013: Focus on Children aims to shed light on the lives of the disadvantaged children in HCMC and the work of the NPOs helping them. The Photo Contest also serves another purpose: it will help raise $ 15,000 for the Narrow the Gap Fund that this year supports programs for vulnerable children in our city.

The Contest is a great opportunity for you to learn about and to support the meaningful work of local NPOs and through them to help vulnerable children in our city. The Contest is also a great chance to show your works to a wide audience in HCMC because the favorites will be selected by an online vote. Finally, the Contest will be judged by a professional photographer – Na Son Nguyen, and the winner will receive a great gift, ViewSonic VFM620-70  Digital Photo Frame!

If you would like to participate, read The Contest Rules and Application Process here. Please note that the new deadline to register for the Photo Contest is 12pm on Friday July 12.
