10 teams participating in LIN Community Partnership Initiative (CPI) 2013 submitted their communications tools. In the next 10 days, LIN invites community members to vote for their most favorite tools. We also invited 6 professionals in media, communications, CSR and non profit sector to judge the submissions.
Meet the panel of judges:
Ms. Uyen Ho – Vietnam Corporate Affairs Manager
Uyen has over 16+ years of external affairs experience. Uyen has been with Intel Vietnam since 2006 as the country Corporate Affairs Manager. Since Intel is the biggest high-tech US investor and the first mover of this industry in Vietnam, Uyen plays a key role representing Intel’s voice and image to external stakeholders including Government Affairs, Media Relations, Education and Corporate Social Responsibility. Uyen is the first ever senior Vietnamese Manager of Intel’s 1billion USD investment assembly and test factory.
Uyen has a MBA from Columbia Southern University (CSU) and a BA in English of HCM Teaching College. She is married with a 16 year-old daughter at the 11th grade. Her favorite hobbies are travelling, reading, cooking and social network.
Mr. Trung Nghia – Journalist
Trung Nghia is a journalist, photographer and author of several popular books, including Bí mật ở Cannes, Sydney yêu thương, Yêu nhau để cưới… He has covered big international events such as World Cup, Cannes Festival, etc. Trung Nghia has held many journalism photo exhibitions at Vienna, Austria, and Melbourne, Australia.
Known as a journalist who is passionate about his work, Trung Nghia has been sent to special places to report for Tuoi Tre Newspaper, including Chernobyl nuclear disaster zone and South Thailand during the conflictinsurgency.
Trung Nghia’s work has been praised for the inspiration and positive impact on readers, especially young ones.
Ms. Hong To Hue Lan – Director
Hoc Mon Social Welfare Center
Ms. Hong To Hue Lan has 20 years experience working in corporate sector before entering the non profit arena. She used to work at Khanh Hoi Orphan Center as Deputy Director. In 2011, she started working with th French Brotherhood Association. Early 2012, she founded Hoc Mon Social Welfare Center, providing support for vulnerable children in Hoc Mon and their parents.
With the support from Brandmaker, Hoc Mon Social Welfare Center won the first prize from CPI 2012 (known as Corporate Volunteer Challenge in 2012). Ms. Lan was the one who worked closely with Brandmaker throughout the whole process of producing the communication strategy and tools .
Ms. Pham Thanh Thuy Vy – Lecturer
HCMC University of Economics
Ms. Pham Thanh Thuy Vy is a lecturer in Marketing department – the University of Economics HCMC. She also works as technical consultant for various Non-profit organizations and social enterprises since 2011. Before that, she used to take the different roles of Marketing & Channel Executive; Campaign Manager and Social Media Strategist for some international corporate like Carter Company; IDM Vietnam and Admax Network Vietnam. She is invited to be joined CSIP professional collaborators’ network as marketing consultant since April 2012 after her valuable consulting supports for Sac Viet – a social enterprise in Dong Nai. She has got many experience with development work through her diversified engagements in various projects like: Accessibility Map for disable people of DRD; YESi – Young Entrepreneur and Scientist Incubator.
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong – Journalist/Editor

In September 2009, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Hương was invited to become a Member of the LIN Board of Director. In that capacity, she also serves on two sub-committees of the Board as the Chairperson of the Fund Allocation Committee and a Member of the Program Committee.
In 2005, she won the award of International Ford Fellowship Program for a master program in International Development and Social Change in Clark University, USA.
Now she is a journalist/editor of The Saigon Times Group, Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Giang
Managing Director, Brandmaker
Giang is the Managing Director of Brandmaker with over 15 years of experience in brand building. With a strong passion for holistic marketing and a belief in keeping in touch with consumers to create meaningful brands, Giang has vastly contributed to the dramatic growth of significant brands in South East Asian markets, especially during her 7 years being with P&G before founding Brandmaker in 2008. Under Giang’s leadership, Brandmaker has delivered the fast growing marketing agency with a solid portfolio of clients, such as Vinasoy, Cerebos, Samsung, etc.
Leveraging expertise in Branding & Marketing in Philanthropic field, Giang has assisted Samsung in establishing Smart Library – one of the most successful CSR programs so far. This is the 1st ever innovative smart library model in Viet Nam & won Best Practice of CSR voted by Regional Samsung BOM. More than 22,000 children in rural areas have benefited from this meaningful long term CSR program. Joining this program, Giang wishes to continue her contribution in the Philanthropic scene in Vietnam.
