3. ABOUT KERMIT & THIỆN TÂM HƯƠNG
“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try to sleep with a mosquito FLYING AROUND” – Dalai Lama. Bounding to make a difference, ambitious to make the impossible possible, a lecturer – Mr. Le Khac Duy – and 5 students from RMIT Viet Nam all together founded the KERMIT media communication team.
For the first time participating in LIN Community Partnership Initiatives 2013 (CPI), KERMIT considered “cooperating with Thien Tam Huong is a valuable opportunity for KERMIT to deepen our sympathy with the disadvantaged and unfortunate hence helping them in a more practical way. Moreover, from this step to a higher view, we KERMIT are hoping to bring the society’s sympathy and supports closer to the unfortunate”.
After more than 3 weeks working together, Ms. Vo Kim Huong – Head of the Thien Tam Vocational Training Facility – comments: “If I may, I would describe KERMIT as a truly enthusiastic and energetic team. They are not all about accomplishing the media products. They also spend their time caring for the physically impaired at Thien Tam Huong. We believe their help for Thien Tam Huong is tremendous”.
For the time being, KERMIT are processing the collected images and materials. The first product, the Thien Tam Huong’s Facebook fan page has been recently created. There are no more plays or compromises for the competition. KERMIT’s members has committed themselves to the indescribably emotional new goal: “The joys and the innocence but full of fortitude of the physically impaired at Thien Tam Facility”.
KERMIT is a group of young people from RMIT Viet Nam who have a great passion in the field of media communication. Mentored by Mr. Le Khac Duy, a lecturer with 5-year experience on Marketing, and created together by 5 students studying Marketing and Design, KERMIT brings to CPI an energetic combination of expertise experience and being unique. Their guidelines are: “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try to sleep with a mosquito FLYING AROUND” – Dalai Lama.
